The Importance of Education
There are a large number of benefits that we can get from getting a good education, one of which is freedom. According to Epictetus, free people are only those educated. Education frees each of us from our mental limits and drives everybody to ask questions and think. In addition, it makes a person aware of his rights, duties and responsibilities in the society. Therefore, it gives him the power to be not enslaved by either action or thought. Education also opens our minds to infinite possibilities in the world, making us as broadminded as we’ve never thought we could be.
The basis of a society is formed by education. In general, education is responsible for the political, social and economic development and growth of a society. It is also very important in providing a strong foundation for students. This is why education needs to be imparted at the early ages of children. Aside from classrooms and books, educating oneself can also be feasible with other sources like physical education and interaction with people who are from different walks of life. Hence, education is not only about being literate, but also being able to survive and live life, continue achieving things, and expose oneself to the world.
